Breakthrough Surf
A named coach running small five-day beginner camps five minutes from the sea — but the only dates it publishes are in the past, so confirm it is still running before you plan around it.

About this camp
A small, tightly-scoped five-day camp aimed squarely at one transition: from never having surfed to riding a first turn. That narrowness is the appeal — it is not trying to serve every level in one house — and the coaching is attached to a named person, founder Tiago Gomes, working with instructors from his own school rather than a rotating seasonal crew. Prices are published in euros at three tiers: a bed in a shared room, a private single, and a private room for a couple, with lodging five minutes' walk from the sea, ground transfers, English-speaking guides and local tours included. Meals are included only on the days the schedule names, which is stated plainly rather than blurred. **The caveat here is the one to read before anything else.** The only camp dates published anywhere on the site are for April 2025 — in the past — and no 2026 dates are listed. The site is live and first-party and the pricing is real, but a camp advertising only a finished session is not evidence that a future one is scheduled. It is recorded here as a genuine operator with an unconfirmed forward programme, and it should be treated as enquire-before-planning rather than bookable. Of everything added in this run it is the entry most likely to have changed by the time anyone reads it. Group sizes and coaching ratios are not published. Portugal's swell window runs Oct–Mar.
