About this camp
Calima runs out of Caleta de Famara, the fishing village under the Risco de Famara cliffs that catches almost everything the North Atlantic sends at Lanzarote. That is the reason to come in winter: Famara’s long sand bottom works through the Oct–Mar swell window when much of Europe is flat, and it is forgiving enough to learn on while still holding size for improvers on the bigger days. The operation is a surf school with accommodation attached rather than a resort — packages bundle lessons with a private room, and the same outfit sells standalone lessons in small groups. Honest caveats, and the pricing one matters most: the published ‘from €195 per person’ figure does not state what period it covers, and it sits beside references to five-day camps, so it should not be read as a weekly rate — confirm the inclusive price with the camp before booking. Bookings run through a hosted Bookinglayer store rather than the main site. The camp is listed in OpenStreetMap on Avenida el Marinero, which is the street its own site gives, though the two disagree on the house number.
