Before you buy

A surfboard with length > 107 cm and < 300 cm is explicitly EXCLUDED from the "any size, up to 23 kg" standard-bag rule that covers other sports equipment — above 107 cm it is treated as special/oversize baggage, with the published total linear (L+W+H) ceiling at 300 cm/118 in (extra-piece or overweight fees apply if it doesn't fit the ticket's checked allowance). Prior authorization from customer service is required at least 48 hours before departure in some cases (e.g. groups of 10+). On some aircraft the hold cannot fit items over 180 cm.
