- Weight cap: 32 kg per board bag.
- Codeshare note: the operating carrier's policy applies, not the marketing carrier's.
- Always confirm current terms directly with Iberia before you book.
Full policy notes
Surfboards/kiteboards/waveboards are 'special baggage' with a fee that varies by route zone (Spain mainland; Europe/Israel/North Africa; or America/Asia/Qatar) and whether paid online (cheaper) or at the airport (more expensive) — the fee rises further the closer to check-in you add it (lowest price at booking, highest during check-in). Included weight is 23 kg; an excess-baggage charge applies up to a 32 kg acceptance ceiling. On some long-haul flights, sporting equipment accepted free is treated as a normal checked-baggage item. Acceptance of oddly-shaped luggage is subject to validation at the airport check-in counter.
Checked against www.iberia.com on Oct 2026. Fees change. Always confirm with the airline before booking.
