Full policy notes

Accepted as checked baggage, transported only with a limited release of liability (no reimbursement for damage under that release). Keels and fins must be removed and placed in carry-on or checked baggage. Boards over 100 lb cannot be checked. Oversize fees are waived; standard checked-bag and overweight fees apply — except for Hawaii residents (valid US Postal Hawaii mailing address, no PO boxes), for whom the standard checked-bag fee does not apply.

Checked against support.southwest.com on Oct 2026. Fees change. Always confirm with the airline before booking.
