Teaches at Puaʻena Point through the winter, when the rest of the North Shore is unrideable for anyone learning — group lessons from about $66, privates from $120.

About this camp
A Haleʻiwa school that publishes the one thing a visitor most needs to understand about learning here in winter: which beach it teaches at, and when it changes. Puaʻena Point from November to March, Chun's Reef from April to October. That split is not a scheduling detail, it is the whole safety story — Puaʻena is a protected cove tucked inside the point, with a long gentle wave, sheltered from the swell that makes Pipeline and Waimea what they are between December and February. Group, private, semi-private and family formats are all priced openly in dollars, along with a longer surf-and-turtle tour, and boards, leashes and rash guards are included. Lessons run daily. Honest caveats: this is a school and there is no accommodation, so nothing here is sold as a week — the prices are per person per lesson. Instructor-to-student ratios are not published as numbers; the site distinguishes private-group from standard group but does not say how many that means. And the obvious one, stated plainly because the region name invites the opposite assumption: a beginner lesson on the North Shore in December is a lesson at a sheltered cove, not a session on the reefs the coast is famous for. Its recency is unusually well evidenced — a 2026 copyright, a logo file dated December 2025, and a live booking system.
