Morro Negrito
A small island chain in the Gulf of Chiriquí, off Panama's Pacific coast, reached by a roughly 20-minute boat ride from the mainland port near Quebrada de Piedra. surf-forecast.com lists it as its own break with coordinates around 8.04°N, 81.72°W, consistent with the island group's position in the gulf. Multiple reef breaks wrap the surrounding islets, offering both lefts and rights depending on swell direction and which island is in the lee. Morro Negrito Surf Camp's own FAQ states May–September is overhead and consistent, October–December works but is less reliable, and January–April is flat — the seasonality above follows that operator statement rather than an independent forecasting source.

A working surf camp destination since 1998 (Morro Negrito Surf Camp), with waves described on the camp's own site as ranging from beginner to professional level depending on which of the surrounding islands is sheltering a given break on a given day. Access is boat-only and medical care is distant, so this suits surfers comfortable with remote reef travel rather than absolute first-timers.
Hazards
- boat-access only, remote island chain
