Praia da Enseada
The longest beach in Guarujá, with several breaks spread along its length and smaller, safer waves the further left you go — which is exactly why the surf schools work this sand rather than Tombo's. An exposed but gentle beach break that takes swell from a wide range of directions, best on SE with NE offshore. Surf-Forecast rates it only fairly consistent and notes March is the cleanest month, so it is a learning beach and a small-day option rather than a wave to plan a trip around.

This is the beginner beach in Guarujá and the reason to come here rather than Tombo for a first lesson. Waves are small and forgiving, the line-up is quiet even on good days, and beginner-focused schools operate on the sand. Two honest caveats: water quality is rated poor by Surf-Forecast, and in summer the beach is busy with swimmers, so pick your patch of sand carefully.
